Lawan Dalha is a Nigerian academic, educated in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, currently teaching English and applied linguistics at Royal Commission Yanbu Colleges and Institutes, Saudi Arabia. He also taught linguistics for over 10 years at different levels in Nigeria. He holds an M.A. in English for Specific Purposes and a Cambridge certificate in international English language teaching.
He has presented papers at many national and international conferences and published several articles in refereed academic journals and books. Besides his write-ups on this site, he also contributes to many publications both in English and Hausa where he writes on linguistics, education and other topical societal issues. His research interests are at the intersection of language pedagogy, cognitive science and technology.
He has held many academic positions and served as a member of various academic and community-based committees, which include among others, Secretary of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Taraba State University, and Editorial Advisory Board Member of TESOL Journal and Taraba State University Journal of Arts and Social Sciences.
